Hotel Casa Luz

Great place - we would happily stay there again.

Pros: The location is, very convenient - just opposite the University of Barcelona, with a metro stop virtually outside the door, lots of buses and an easy walk to all the major sights. We were upgraded to a suite on arrival, which was a lovely surprise, so we had a nice big room on the top floor with a balcony and great views and, slightly bizarrely, a bathtub in the room. There was a separate bathroom area with lovely big shower and twin basins etc. The breakfasts were very generous with plenty of choice and delicious eggs every way you could wish for cooked to order. Nice friendly staff too.

Cons: There wasn't any kind of comfortable seating in our room and because the hotel is tall and narrow with just an entrance and lift lobby on the ground floor, there aren't any general seating areas.

Amazing!!!!!

Pros: We stayed in Casa Luz for 1 night and it was amazing ! The service of the hotel is remarkable. We were there before the official check in time, but they already had a room ready for us even with a balcony upgrade! On the day back, the staff could hold onto our luggage for the rest of the day while we went into the city and they helped us with the best possible transport to the airport. The rooms are spacious, really clean and super comfortable. I would recommend staying here, when I go to Barcelona again I will for sure have my stay in Casa Luz!!!

Exceptionale!

Pros: Loved this hotel! Great rooms, superb staff. Excellent location. Super helpful team. Ricardo and Facu were amazing with detail, recommendations, assistance, friendliness. So enjoyed the roof on fire restaurant and food was delicious.

Cons: Nada.

Pros: The location was perfect. I contacted the hotel before arriving and asked if they could store our bags on the first day so that we could make the most of our time in Barcelona. When we arrived the room that we were staying in was already cleaned and ready for us. The rooftop bar was a nice place to chill after long days exploring the city. We would definitely recommend the hotel to others and would go back.

Cons: The only issue we had with the room is that it could do with a mini fridge.

Great location comfy room and good breakfast

Pros: Good breakfast plentiful and frequently replenished. Excellent views of the city from room and restaurant. Very comfy bed

Cons: Tra coffee and water not replenished second night. Bathroom smelt of damp

Stay was amazing! Personnel was on top 🔝 really greateful and they made our stay great!

Pros: The hotel staff were absolutely amazing! 🤩 We stayed for three days and had a wonderful time exploring the city with our kids. I reached out in advance to ask if they could help organize a birthday surprise for my child (muffins/cake and balloons), and they created such a beautiful morning surprise for us. It was truly a great experience, and we felt very well taken care of.

Cons: all was great! Just to note the building is old, so you see some constructions, rooms were modern and spacious.

This hotel with its location and confortable beds, big shower and nice decor made my long weekend just perfect!

Pros: Amazing location, right in the center and on top of the subway. Very high quality beds, firm but plushy on the surface, the courtyard rooms are quiet, very clean, nice to have kettle and high quality tea and coffee in the room. Staff is nice and smiling, and replies fast to any request (I asked for a yoga mat in the room). Wonderful big shower

Cons: My stay was perfect but I noticed a few details to improve. The room on the street are quite noisy also during the night especially as people leave the shutters free to spam - this didnt bug too much my friend that was on that side but i would have not been able to sleep. The thing that I would really change - and I noticed this trend in several hotels lately - is that they have put new towels seemingly unwashed: they are very soft but they loose so much cotton and they must be unwashed, otherwise they wouldnt drop fibers everywhere. The rougher towels on the other days were nice and clean. I also strongly recommend to the stuff to put a protection between the bedsheet and the mattress, otherwise in a few months the mattresses will be all stained and smelly. And in the bathroom there isnt enough light to do a proper make-up.

Pros: The room is large, beds very comfortable, no noise and super clean. The bathroom is new, large and modern. The location is amazing and you can easily walk to the main attractions. Staff is very polite and friendly.
