Authentic Gothic area experience surrounded by stunning architecture

Pros: Super central surrounded by stunning architecture. Comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful owner. Tv with streaming channels.

Cons: I’d have liked a kettle in my room but there was a communal one in reception. A tiny detail though.

Pros: The staff were so friendly, they really made it feel like a home rather than a hostel. The room was more spacious than I thought it would be and they have smart TV’s. The balconies also really add a nice touch to the room, you almost get to experience what a Barcelona home would feel like.

Cons: The only downfall is that the bathrooms are separate to the rooms, but it wasn’t too inconvenient

Pros: The hostel was ideally located in a very central area, nestled among charming narrow streets where every corner seemed to carry a sense of history. Within just a few minutes on foot, you could easily reach many of the main attractions, restaurants, and points of interest, which made exploring the area very convenient and enjoyable. The host was exceptionally polite, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. They were always willing to help and responded promptly to any questions or concerns, making us feel very welcome and well taken care of. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and a wonderful place to stay.

Pros: We liked everything about this hostel from reception to checkout. The receptionist was professional, cheery, welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the room pictured and it was clean and cozy. The bathroom was detached but private and very clean and spacious. We love the neighborhood, of course. Crime and crowds are usually ridiculous in that area but we visited in December and the rain staved off the crowds, leaving the Bari Gòtic to us!

Cons: It would have been better to have an attached bathroom but for the price, who cares?

Pros: So close to La Ramba and everywhere. Yet far enough away to be away from noise. It was lovely to feel like you were a local looking out over the alley streets

Cons: The bathroom was a walk away. Although private and very clean.

Visually very beautiful apartments.

Pros: The location was excellent, and the apartments themselves were visually very appealing. The staff were very friendly.

Cons: Unfortunately, the sewage smell was very noticeable. It interfered with enjoying our time there.

It was a wonderful stay in the gothic quarter! Highly recommended.

Pros: The location is amazing! The room itself was just like on the pictures, very clean, cozy and with amazing balcony. Big bed, nice shower! Easy check in, easy property rules.

Cons: It’s a noisy area. It has nothing to do with the property, it’s just the price you pay for staying in gothic quarter. Also, the room is small. And, again, for the gothic quarter it’s very normal, but we were struggling with opening our suit cases on the floor😅 If you travel light — it’s much easier!

Great little hotel very conveniently located

Pros: Location lovely room busy area so noisy as expected but you are in the heart of the action who was a fantastic host very good restaurant recommendation and great flexibility

Cons: We could upgrade our room Jo was very helpful to one with ensuite as the one we had booked with private bathroom wasn’t convenient as it is located quite far from the room itself so if you get up several time during the night like us and like privacy I would recommend you to only book the one with ensuite

Would recommend for location if Barcelona

Pros: Excellent location, pretty balcony, access to coffee and water, felt safe due to the number of locks / codes before entering Hostal Sol y K

Cons: Only had 1 pillow per person - I should have asked for a 2nd one but I kept forgetting. Ideally 2 pillows per person and if that is too many the guest can put spares in the cupboard

Ideal B&B for short stay

Pros: Perfect location in the best part of Barcelona, El Born. Very clean room, owner responds very quickly on app and is helpful. Bathroom was spotless and nice shower. Coffee and tea were for free in the hall. Price was really good

Cons: Outside on the street very noisy and sleeping with window open is challenging. My bathroom was further down the hall. Not ideal, but doable (certainly for that price). Was very small room with refrigerator.
