Hostal Urban Basic

Recommended for a short and efficient stay

Pros: Very close to the metro station ! I have appreciated the welcome muffins in the room, the fact that the room was cleaned everyday and the host was very careful regarding my wellbeing. The self-checkin and checkout is very convenient too. A microwave and a kettle are available. Free coffee too.

Cons: The mattress of one of the bed should be replaced

Pros: Very clean and good location in relation to the metro and airport. Self check in system was very convenient. Rooms cleaned daily.

Pros: Located close to metro line so trips to central Barcelona were easy. The area looked a little unloved but a short walk took you to some interesting areas full of local colour. It was affordable and convenient.

Cons: The area was a little unloved. The front door to the building needed a little jiggling to get to open. Very self service.

Pros: Clean room, comfortable bed and good location (5 mins far from the tube), shops and restaurants nearby. A special mention to Marta: the first day we found out a problem with the bed and she promptly helped us (even if it was weekend) and solved the problem. Highly recommended!

Cons: We suggest to improve the lightening of the room

Good clean value option for Barcelona

Pros: The room was very clean and it was freshened every day. They left cakes and tea bags in the room which was very nice. The communications with the hotel were very good and the location was very convenient.

Cons: The facilities were a little worn, but I didn't mind this as I was looking for mainly value for money and location on this trip.

Highly recommended

Pros: The place is very nice and comfortable. Very clean, cozy dining/living room. Big room, no need to wait for hot water in the shower or tap. AA/CC available. And the owner was always available and caring for the guest to feel comfortable.

Great little studio

Pros: Close to the metro station, great little studio with all the basic necessities

Pros: Perfect location, everything is easily accessible. Clean room, clean towels every day. Quick and easy communication with the hostess. As our flight was way earlier than check in time, we asked our Hostess what she can do about it and she got the room ready earlier..Thank you very much for that.

Cons: Cannot say anything.

Pros: Very friendly, clean and very comfortable room, should walk to metro, everything worked, enjoyed our short stay. Happy to visit again 😀

Worth the price, and room is at stated in photos

Pros: Clean, all the basic provided. Simple and easy to find, shops, battery and market near by, close to the metro (easy transport to get around) Owner very helpful.

Cons: Would return after a day out to find someone (assuming owner) had been in room to clean, nothing was ever missing but first day did take us by surprise as there was nothing to state a cleaning service.
