The staff were really helpful and put on breakfast early

Pros: Amazing location right on the beach, really lovely restaurant and great food

Cons: Not great sound proofing so could hear lots of the other rooms

Pros: I stayed at Checkin Garbi for Ironman, and was very pleased for how close it was to both race village (600m) & transition area (1.2k). I got the full board option & while it wasn't a big variety of food, it was perfect for carb loading & recovery. Staff were very helpful & welcoming (especially Karen who spoke perfect English) ... Would highly recommend if you're staying for the race.

Cons: The room & furniture are a bit old but manageable & there's no kettle or coffee machine

Pros: Having stayed at 3 different hotels previously in Calella, I thought I'd give the Garbi a go as they were offering a good deal which included both breakfast and dinner with a sea view. Any concerns I might have had from reading some other reviews here were quickly dispelled with a friendly welcome, a decent sized room and a great view, good lighting and a large comfy bed. The buffet dinner was far better than anything I was expecting, with lots of choice (the meatballs were excellent) and hot which is not always the case with hotel buffets, and a great range of desserts. Breakfast also had a great choice, though the hot food wasn't quite up to dinner standard, the pastries were tasty and fresh and good coffee. If or when I return to Calella, if there's a similar deal I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Cons: Nothing other than a couple of the hot breakfast dishes weren't the best but plenty of other things to choose (the scrambled egg was excellent) and an occasional slight drainage smell in the bathroom, but this seems to be common in Calella.

Pros: Fully booked so got upgraded to rooms with our own rooftop balconies. The location was great, rooms nice and clean, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was good.
