Great option for a short in BCN
Pros: Quirky design, fantastic location - easy to get to from the airport and around town. We enjoyed our balcony room and our bed was so comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Delicious breakfast!
Cons: Seems a bit tired in places - a bit of wear and tear but nothing bothersome.

Perfect gift for birthday
Pros: We liked everything. Personnel was really helpful and give us recommendations about places to visit. Also, they gave us a free room upgrade so that we can have the balcony!

Quirky with a breathtaking view of Sagrada Família
Pros: Our room (Room 701) was on the seventh floor and had an unexpected roof terrace/balcony area with views of the Sagrada Família at the end of the street. A pleasant surprise! The staff throughout our stay were exceptional, and nothing was too much trouble. The bathroom shower was also one of the best we have had during our stays in European cities. Spotlessly clean, quirky decor and complimentary amenities throughout our visit. This is the second time we have stayed in a Room Mate hotel - the first in Madrid (Room Mate Alba) - and we will definitely choose to stay in the Room Mate chain again!
Cons: Unfortunately, we struggled to get the air conditioning working during our trip. Despite choosing cool air, it continued to run warm - making our first night’s sleep very warm indeed! We simply turned it off afterwards and opened the balcony door for some fresh air. Similarly, breakfast one day was rather chaotic. Plates, bowls, cutlery etc. were not washed and ready for guests, meaning long waits at breakfast time. The food served was lovely, so a shame about the service, particularly as it was not peak season (February).

Pros: Very confortable room, good space. Nice shower. Staff was really gentle and helpful. Wifi signal was strong and allowed me to work and do calls from the hotel when needed. Location was absolutelly perfect, easy to arrive by metro from the airport, different ways to move around the city, really close to the most iconic parts. Walked most of the time. The region offered a large variety of places to eat too. Enjoyed a lot, would repeat.
Cons: The acoustic isolation from the walls was a bit poor, you may hear some noises from the hallway or other rooms.

Pros: Excellent hotel, very stylish, good breakfast, we walked a lot, there are a couple of metro stations around - 7-10 minutes distance, the room had everything we needed.
Cons: I wish our balcony was looking onto the street rather than into the courtyard.

Central 4-star gem with balcony views of Sagrada Familia
Pros: Very nice hotel and great value for the quality. Perfect location, 10 minutes walk from Sagrada Familia, which we also had an amazing view of from the balcony. Recommend getting a balcony room! Would definitely stay again.

Pros: The room was better than what we expected based on the pictures. The highlight was the spacious shower with a rain shower. Room was clean and tidy. Went in January (low season) value for money was great.
