Chic & Basic Zoo is located in El Born, now one of the most fashionable and cosmopolitan districts of central Barcelona. On one side is the Gothic Quarter, to the other is Ciutadella Park, and the port is a few minutes away. Cool, easy location in the Born

Pros: Very comfortable beds, the common area having free coffe and tea was a plus.

Cons: The AC could use a tune up as the fans were quite a bit noisy.

Fab short stay

Pros: What's not to like. Had a superior room with balcony that looked on to the Cuitadella park. Was very easy to get to all the points of interest. Very clean, comfortable bed, lovely kind touches, shopping bag, slippers, sweets and crisps, bottle of water, coffee machine on corridor. Staff at reception (5 mins around corner from the actual hotel, wasn't a problem). Were a credit to the hotel. We had the buffet breakfast twice €12 . Fantastic, bacon scrambled eggs, fruit and meat,cheese etc. All very fresh. I loved the fresh orange juice.

Pros: The location is good, next to most interesting places of the town and just across the street from the park. Young and pleasant stuff, that was very helpful

Cons: The windows overlook the garden, but also the street, which is pretty noisy
