Hotel Coronado

A basic, but clean place to lay our heads.

Pros: Location was fantastic, rooms were cleaned and beds were made every day.

Cons: Tea/coffee selection was poor. This hotel pretty much acted as a place to sleep. We couldn’t enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the morning although there were cups and a kettle. No milk or coffee provided, just tea bags and sugar. The walls were paper thin, so we were disturbed by other people staying in the hotel. You could hear them using the bathroom as if they were staying on the same room as you.

Pros: The reception staff were friendly. The room was quite spacious, and a hairdryer and kettle were provided. The bed was comfortable.

Cons: The basin in the bathroom wouldn't drain properly as the plug wouldn't move. I only reported this on check out, so in fairness to them, I can't comment on how quickly they would have responded if I had said something earlier. The area is not the most attractive part of Barcelona, but I was attending an event nearby so the location was perfect for that.

Pros: I stayed for 3 days at Hotel Coronado and had a very good experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great, and everything was well organized. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. I would be happy to stay here again. Herr Abraham

Pros: Great location, comfy beds and shower, smiling staff , everything was perfect and I am absolutely going to stay here again and recommend this place to others ❤️

Great budget-friendly place in the city center

Pros: The location was great: 10 minutes from the Monument of Columbus and three blocks away from popular fast-food chains, discos, and especially the old city.

Cons: It was a bit dirty; there was no water stopper for the bathtub.

Pros: Good location, helpful staff. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Cons: The shower was too small and didn't drain water properly. The bathroom ended up flooding every time I took a shower.

Pros: The location was great. Check in very fast and super clean

Good clean basic hotel

Pros: Advertised it was a 1-star hotel, so skeptical about staying there. Was fine if you just want a basic hotel. It was clean, staff were friendly and suited my needs.

Cons: Suited my needs

Pros: The location is very good, 3 mins walking from the main street with tapas and pinchos bar and 5 mins walking from the Parallel (L3) metro station. The staff was super nice and helpful.

Cons: It’s mandatory to leave the keys at the reception every time you leave the hotel, however the reception is open 24/7 and there is a tiny safer in the room. The area is not so safe.

Recommended overall

Pros: Location is good. Five min walk to subway or walk 20-30min to the beach. Lidl supermarket is close. Close to train station Sants as well.

Cons: Although very clean, The hotel is a bit old. The water flow in the toilet is slow. Slow. So need some patience for the water to go down.
