Hostal Nova Barcelona

Pros: A very clean hostel with friendly staff. Many thanks for the coffee machine in the shared kitchen.

Cons: The toilet didn't flush properly, and the ventilation fan in the bathroom was not working well. An uncomfortable pillow.

Good place to stay

Pros: Easy self check-in, good neighborhood, the room was cleaning every day, clean towels, hot water all the time. Public transport nearby (bus in front of the building, metro at 10 minutes walking), also two supermarkets very close, on Rambla de Badal. My room has a window which cannot be open and the shower was small, but for me was ok. No noise from the other tourists or from outside, very quiet accommodation.

Great room, convenient

Pros: Rooms cleaned everyday, fresh towels, room was clean and spacious. There was tea and coffee available in the reception area as well as a microwave. Location was really close to metro L1. Easy access to centre and to the airport. There were a lot of nice cafes around too.

Cons: The room faces a busy street so traffic noise comes through the window, but nothing too drastic.

Pros: The room and bathroom were extremely clean. Instructions to check in and out were very clear.

Cons: There was some noise late in the evening and early in the morning, but it was mostly other people arriving -- not much you can do about it.

Pros: Room was absolutely spotlessly clean and beds very comfortable. Very good lighting in room.

Cons: No light in coffee room. Smell of disinfectant in reception area was off-putting

Simple and clean

Pros: Higiene and cleanliness were exceptional. Also, very quick to solve issues when queried.

Cons: The walls (or maybe the doors) are paper thin. Take some earplugs in case your neighbors snore (my case).

Budget accommodation that delivers

Pros: Very clean, handy to supermarket and Metro, good communication

Cons: Street noise at times, no instructions to use the safe

Pros: Accommodation at Hostal Nova Barcelona was one of the best things I experienced in Barcelona. Very clean room (there was cleaning service every day and they even exchanged towels every day - not usual for hostel type of accomodation). Air conditioning was working and we were able to open doors with chip very time. When we arrived personal was waiting for us. Additionaly to that - you can have breakfest or dinner in one of two closest restaurants for special price. I did not experience any noice in the corridor as written in some reviews. Hostel is approximately 5 minutes walking distance to closest metro. To summarize - this accommodation offers very reasonable ratio between price and quality and I would recommend to everybody who wants to visit Barcelona and stay here.
