Hostal Operaramblas

A fabulous stay. Clean, comfortable and overall good value for money.

Pros: The interior overall design of the hostel was modern. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The overall cleanliness of the hostel was fantastic and not like your everyday hostel, more of a hotel. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfy. The bathroom was very clean and a good amount of space in the showers as well as had a hairdryer. They provided water, toothbrush, toothpaste etc as complimentary. The rooms were cleaned and tidied everyday by the lovely house keepers. I had valuables left out in the room and nothing was taken, simply tidied around. I was very impressed with my stay here. As a single female travelling alone i felt very safe, especially with the 24hour reception. I would highly recommend to others.

Cons: The walls/doors are extremely thin so you can hear practically everything and anything going on, especially with my room being just opposite a cleaning cupboard that the housekeepers were constantly going into to get fresh linen etc to tidy rooms in the morning, it did wake me up. However no fault of theirs, as they have a job to do which i understand. However, maybe a thought of moving the cupboard away from just opposite a guest room in future to prevent this?

Pros: The accommodation is in a very central location next to the Liseu theatre, with a metro stop just a few metres away. It is comfortable and very clean. Above all, however, we would like to thank the staff at the reception and especially Albert. They were all very kind and helpful. Michalis Christina and Thomai from Greece- January the 18th 2026.

Pros: The staff was super polite. Our room was cleaned every day. The reception is 24/7.

Pros: Basically everything was great except few things I mentioned in other section. I will strongly consider this hotel for my next stay! If you think not having breakfast is a minus, let me say that in circle of 50m you have so much restaurants and markets, you will not be able to try them all for a 2 week stay.

Cons: Quality of toiletries needs to improve. Very basic. Although everything is renovated, fact is that the building is old and the plumbing is very audible. Also, lots of cracking noises during night. Light sleepers might have an issue.

Excellent accomodation!

Pros: Comfortable and clean, great location, very central but not noisy. Having a kettle and a fridge in the room was brilliant!

Cons: Not so keen on the memory foam pillows, but that's just my personal preference.

I’d heartily recommend the Opera Hostel as a place to stay in the heart of the city

Pros: Very convenient for the city centre Quiet, very clean and tidy. Helpful and knowledgeable staff

Superior hotel next to La Rambla

Pros: I’m surprised this hotel is rated as a 2 star. I might lack the amenities of higher star hotels but it feels like most 3 or 4 stars. Everything is clean and well maintained. Feels like a quality hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

Cons: Be mindful that La Rambla is being renovated (01/2026) so access to the hotel can be tricky. The location is great but it’s on the side of El Raval, not Barrio Gotico which might not be everyone’s preference. It can get noisy at night but that’s expected with La Rambla at less than 50 meters.

Pros: Clean rooms.. Nice facilities. Friendly staff. Absolutely no complaints.
