YOUTH HOSTEL - Central and Basic Drassanes

Very good starting point to explore Barcelona

Pros: Very good location near La Rambla, the Gothic Quarter and the sea, as well as a 100 metres from the metro. This places very well the location as a starting point to explore Barcelona. Very clean - facilities were clean-up a few times per day. Nice and receptive staff.

Cons: While its not a hotel and has common facilities they are well taken care of. Consider this aspect when choosing this location for your stay. Very good for youth and solo travelers, may be trickier for families with small kids.

Basic room in perfect location with lovely staff

Pros: Perfect location for a good price. The staff was really nice and helped immediately when there was a problem with the room.

Great location, comfortable bed. Good value for money.

Pros: Very comfortable bed with nice duvet, clean! Quiet room eventhough it is right next to La Rambla. Great receptionist Ariel gave us a muffin and coffee on the go in the morning! Big shoutout

Cons: No small kitchen/common area to make some food but we know it is basic and the shower head was leaking pretty bad. When we tried to charge our camera and plugged the cable in, the power went out for the main room lamp. We were told the balcony will be open and free but when we went to check, it was locked shut

Pros: The place is clean and very close to the culinary and shopping centers. Luckily, I got a room in the back, which was very comfortable for resting. The location is safe and close to the metro.

Cons: The window locks need to be repaired, as the locking hooks leading to the balcony are damaged. Front-facing rooms can be noisy at night due to people's activities, which can be disturbing. Therefore, if you have a front-facing room, earplugs are recommended to ensure a comfortable sleep.

Great if you want to enjoy Barcelona without breaking the bank on hotels

Pros: Central in the old town, easily accessible by public transport, quiet street. People who run it were very helpful.

Cons: Bed was a bit uncomfortable, but when we said something about it it was looked at immediately. It still wasn’t optimal after that but I was very pleased with the service

Pros: Very good location, comfortable beds, clean showers and toile, no noise from outside and a terrace with very nice view. You also get a free coffee at the reception and staff was very nice

Cons: You can hear people in the next room or in the hallway quote loudly + you can see when the light lights up in the hallway which can be a bit annoying but a sleepmask and earplugs will deal with that. There could be a kettle with few mugs in the hallway, that would be a great addition.
