Pros: As we were on a short break to celebrate our anniversary we were delighted to find we had been upgraded to a suite.. with bubbly and choccies too! All above and beyond and very much appreciated. The staff were helpful, rooms were amazing and the complimentary buffet an unexpected bonus. Being located in the heart of the city and within walking distance of most of the attractions I'd recommend this hotel.

Superb location and historic interest, recommended.

Pros: A great start to our European holiday. We had four rooms ranging from the a more expensive very large and ornate room to two very small rooms and one in between. I'm not sure how different the prices were. The hotel itself was fantastic, a real experience and the buffet was outstanding! Staff were helpful.

Cons: No complaints really. As others have noted the extra large keyfob was a nuisance, it would be ideal to upgrade to more modern tech that could also open the front door rather having to buzz reception (who were occasionally absent).

Pros: the hotel wa perfect and the location excellent. not too many options for the breakfast but the 24 hours buffet for snacks was perfect specially for the kid we had with us.

Excellent overall.

Pros: Location was perfect, very handy, central location in the non-touristy part (nicer) -good shopping district -a 10-minute walk or thereabouts to the touristy section and old town. Local musicians had an invite by the hotel owner who provided bubbles during their 90-minute concert to a handful of guests. A real bonus. Hotel owner great!
