Hostal Capitol Ramblas

Pros: Everything was fine. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the location was great, the beds were comfortable and everything was clean.

Pros: Balcony was amazing, such incredible value for a short stay!

Pros: It's so central, close to metro and major shops. Check in was easy, they store luggage for free.

Cons: Maybe put a small fridge in room.

Amazing value for money

Pros: Amazing location, affordable, friendly staff, the rooms were clean. They clean the room and the common bathrooms everyday. We received soap and shower gel daily. Everything you need at a very good price in an amazing location. The view is also pretty nice. We had an amazing trip because of you guys. Gracias! ♥️

Cons: There are very few things that I didn't like but the hostel can't really do anything about it. At night it's a bit loud, you're on La Rambla after all but with ear plugs there is no problem. And at some point in the hallway there was a very potent weed smell from some other tourists I presume, but again, this is because of the people staying there, not the hostel's fault. Can't say anything else that I didn't like, I think the value for money is unbeatable.

Cons: Our room was on the fifth floor. There was a smell of some kind of kitchen.

Hotel in great location, close to everything.

Pros: Great location. Room was on the 5th floor. Room service excellent. Towels were changed every day. Receptionist gave keys for the 5th floor, key for main hotel doors and for the room.

Cons: Need to pay more attention to bathroom cleanliness. Could be better if there was soap/ shampoo dispensers. There was just a tiny soap bar in the room. TV wasn't working. Sad that smoking was allowed on balcony...Bed mattresses were firm- I felt every spring, one pillow was very firm the other filling was poor. Need to fix one of the bathroom doors- if you lock from inside it's very hard to open. Reading light didn't work in the room. No kettle.

Great budget accommodation for a short stay in right in the centre of a busy Barcelona

Pros: We were on a budget, wanting somewhere in centre of the city, clean with easy access to markets, eating places and Barceloneta. It tick all those boxes. Most importantly the lift worked, we were on the 5th floor, with an interesting roof top view across to the harbour area.

Cons: Not much, we didn’t have particularly high expectations. If one wanted t9 be critical, not all the shared showers were well appointed, meaning, varying sizes and some fittings not working (shower head bracket missing). Having said that, we never queued and there was always hot water.
