Historic Heaven in the Heart of Barcelona

Pros: We stayed on the 4th floor apartment \

Cons: Be aware that if you are not fit or you arrive with large heavy suitcases then you WILL struggle to climb about 16 short flights of steep narrow stairs to reach the apartment. It's a historic building, and all the better for it, and so access is not geared for the aged, infirm or multi-suitcased traveller! This is not a criticism by the way it's a public service announcement to prevent you from making a costly error on holiday.

Barcelona Hub 👌🏼

Pros: Location is second to none, so close to everything. Good size overall, bathrooms also very good size. Easy for four adults to stay. The fridge/freezer was a bonus. The good definitely put weighs the bad.

Cons: Noise from the street at all hours of the night... but not much the accommodation could do about that. The windows don't really keep any of the sound out. There are quite a lot of steep stairs to the apptment, 3 floors, could be an issue for those with mobility issues. We were a group of very active ladies, so it didn't cause us any issues. The front door is covered in graffiti and could be off-putting for some. Photo included.

Good accomodation in a central location. People in Barcelona are not friendly at all.

Pros: Excellent location. Within walking distance of many attractions

Cons: Had to pay extra 20 Euros to get the keys at the apartment. High tourism tax The flat could have more information for tourists to do in Barcelona. The people in general in Barcelona were not very friendly. To be greeted in the streets with grafitti like \

A great location with a brilliant layout and design of the apartment, that I have not come across anywhere else

Pros: Overall the property was simply outstanding. It had a beautiful design to it and had a fantastic layout. Honestly, the description and layout does not do justice to the beauty of the place. It is located perfectly to all the great sights that u need to do as you are in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. I had easy accessibility to all the fantastic sights within a 10 to 15 minute walk. The Metro is also a 3 minute walk from the apartment. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets within the vicinity too. I must appreciate that they gave me a check in about 2 hours earlier than what the checkin time was.

Cons: While I was aware of this, the apartment is on the 4th floor with extremely narrow steps leading upstairs - 75 steps to be precise. For anyone with lots of baggage and older people who need to manage on their own, I would not recommend this place. There is no elevator. A little rack to place all your toilet stuff in the shower area would be helpful. I noticed this feedback earlier too but looks like the hosts have not done anything about it.

Don’t judge a book by its cover - outside of the building does not reflect what is inside.

Pros: As we arrived I thought I had made a big mistake as the outside of the building is not very welcoming. But inside we found a great apartment only 400m from La Rambla. Had the 3rd floor apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was spotless when we arrived. Very comfortable place to stay. Check in process was very quick and easy and staff were friendly and accommodating.

Cons: 3 flights of stairs with large suitcases was a struggle. Would have been good to have some water supplied initially as you can’t drink the tap water.

Great location, clean, easy check in and out.

Pros: Great location, easy check in and out. There are many restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores nearby. From the apartment we walked to many locations, within about 20 minutes, including La Rambla, Casa Battlo, Sagrada Familia, the beach, and the bus station for a tour to Montserrat. The host arranged an airport transfer which was fairly priced, worked smoothly, and made our arrival easy. We were aware there was no lift and the apartment is on the 4th floor (5th if you count the North American way). The air conditioning and bright, roomy apartment was welcome after climbing the stairs. Plenty of space for the two of us, including a small work desk.

Cons: Although we did not hear any noise from other units or people in the building, late-night noise from the street (barking dogs, street cleaners, loud people, after-midnight deliveries, etc.) comes right into the unit, even with the doors and shutters closed. We got more used to the interruptions after a few nights - it's part of the life of the city and part of the experience. An extra mirror or two would be a nice addition.

We really enjoyed our stay, it is spacious and has a very central location. We went everywhere by foot.

Pros: It is spacious, has two bathrooms and three balconies

Cons: For us it was not a problem but i would not recommend going there if you are elderly. The appartement is only reachable by high, small stairs.
