AC Hotel San Cugat by Marriott

The stay at the hotel was pleasant

Pros: Taxis were always available when needed and location is easy to find

Cons: The closest is open and not big enough for someone staying long term

Loved the hotel overall, staff lovely and breakfast very good! Shame about the pool area.

Pros: Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the fresh fruit and variety of bread and cheese. The location is quite a distance from the town but we knew that when we booked. Staff were so nice and they’re a credit to the company.

Cons: We chose this hotel because it had a pool even though it was further from the town. However, the pool area is in a shocking state of disrepair and requires to be repaired urgently. The decking area is loose in various places and is an accident waiting to happen. After using the pool area for the first 2 of our 6 day stay, we gave up as it was extremely dangerous and I didn’t want to trip on the dangerous decking. AC Marriott need to get this renovated urgently - seems strange that the interior is so well finished and maintained, yet the exterior is so poorly maintained.

Nice hotel but unfriendly staff

Pros: I enjoyed the room and also the amenities within the hotel as I have visited this hotel many times.

Cons: The staff who helped me to check out at front desk was extremely unprofessional and rude. She tried to charge me extra by mistake and also when I asked about it she admitted it was a mistake but her attitude was so rude and unpleasant.

Pros: We loved the hotel. The people where very friendly. The rooms very clean with good airconditioning and a bath. Big comfy beds. The swimmingpool was very nice. In the restaurant we had a real good pizza and a burger. This was tasteful and not like most hotel food. The train to Barcelona was a little walk (10 minutes) and brings you to the center of Barcelona. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Cons: The location wasn’t the best when you don’t have a car. Close to the metro station so that’s good but no shops or amenities nearby.

Pros: Gluten free options and well-labelled allergens at breakfast. Helpful staff - especially the kitchen/dining staff. Warm! Very comfortable bed. Bathrooms extremely well-appointed.

Cons: No ability to cast to the TV; we had to watch via our tablets. Sometimes the room’s sound insulation was a little lacking, but still good overall.

Avoiding rush hour traffic in and out of Barcelona.

Pros: Excellent location for a night stop through the área ( south to north) Spain to France..Short Metro hop to centre of Barcelona for an evening out. Hotel 5 minutes from AP7 and Metro.

Very lovely helpful staff and manageress and great to have a closed locked undergrround parking.
