Hostal Athenas

Pros: Clean, good value for money. Location is nice, easy access to the city center

Cons: The bed was uncomfortable. The room is a bit small.

Pros: Nice, clean. Location was great. Room service- we got new towels every day.

Cons: The Rooms sere very close, and walls thin- so we could hear the neighbors

Relaxed stay outside of the city center for a great value

Pros: It is a good deal for the price. The location is outside of the city center, but it felt quiet and safe. The metro is just 5 minutes away. There is Mercadona right outside the hotel. AC included, and it works. The room is cleaned regularly. An automatic check-in machine is a huge bonus if you're arriving at night.

Cons: It takes time to get here from the airport on public transport (around an hour). The room is really tiny, pretty much just a bed and a bathroom. It would have been nice to have a table and/or wardrobe. The water in the shower can be quite chilly at times.

Great place for young and old

Pros: The place was perfect for my elderly dad to stay before he went to the nursing home. Great place for elders to stay

Pros: I had a balcony attached to my room. Location excellent. One staff member was very courteous and easy to talk with. Cleaners came around every day unless you don’t wish it. Check out was super easy. The best hotel stay for me.

Cons: Can’t think of anything.

It’s a really good accomodation, in a good area, well connected by metro to the city centre

Pros: The room was bigger than i expected. The bed was really comfortable. Cleaning was done daily without asking for it.

Very nice stay at Hostal Athenas, would recommend to anyone!

Pros: The accommodation was perfectly fine for the price. The location was great, with the metro only two minutes away on foot and very well connected to all parts of the city, so we had no trouble getting anywhere we wanted. The area was clean, and the accommodation itself was very tidy. There were several shops and bakeries nearby, which was very convenient. The Wi-Fi connection was strong and reliable. Our flight was late in the evening, and there was a self check-in machine in front of the hotel that was extremely easy to use. It gave us the key right away, so there’s no problem for guests arriving late. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were cleaned every day, and the sheets and towels were changed daily.

Cons: Everything was good.

I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider staying at Hostal Athenas again when I return to Barcelona!

Pros: Hostal Athenas is very close to the Sant Adria Metro station - only one street away - and there is a Mercadona right outside, for snacks or lunch. There are a lot of restaurants in the area too, so if you don’t want to travel too far for dinner, you don’t have to. My room had a wardrobe space for my clothes and it also had towels, toiletries, a TV and AirCon which made my stay very comfortable and enjoyable. My bed was clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff were very friendly and willing to help with requests or questions. The reception staff greet you every morning as you leave. The key card system is modern and convenient! Overall, my stay was great value for money and I would be more than happy to stay at this location again :)

Cons: The only thing I didn’t like about the property is that the temperature of the water differed from morning to morning, sometimes coming out lukewarm even when I had the shower on the hottest setting, but this is only a minor issue and did not inconvenience me majorly :)
