Hostal Cubelles

Take advantage of the great location that this no thrills hotel offers.

Pros: The location was a real treat. Unusual to get such an economy hotel so close to the seafront. Everything was as descibed and all the fittings and bedding in the room were of good quality. Very quiet for a good night's rest. The fridge was a welcome thought. Hostal might put people off. It is a basic hotel.

Cons: Towels small and old. More sockets, i.e. near the fold-down desk.

Lovely short stay

Pros: It was nice stay. Room had everything we needed. It was small but comfortable. Only plastic sheet was a bit loud.

Pros: Simple, clean and comfortable room with great location. Enjoyed our stay here.

Pros: The location was lovely just a few steps away from the beach with bars and restaurants

Okay value for the money. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Check bedsheets and aircon.

Pros: The sea view is okay, though the balcony is facing another building, not the sea, which is to the left. The room is clean, but not too big. The host is really nice and welcoming and gave us all the things we needed - spoons, corkscrew, etc. There is free parking near the location (not free in the summer though).

Cons: The bed sheets were not that clean, and the aircon had the smell of fungi. The stairs are very narrow, not comfortable to bring the luggage up. For the price it is okayish, but we were there in there out of season. In summer it is more expensive.

Sunny terrace by the beach and friendly staff

Pros: Room by the beach with an independent heating/cooling system you can control yourself, great in the cold January night I stayed there. Very friendly staff, and actual keys to the front door and the room - I much prefer them to the magnetic cards, etc. The location is excellent: by the beach, easy to find if you come by train - just following the first street down to the beach. Also, there are several trekking routes and shorter walks you can do from there, which is the reason why I spent the weekend in Cubelles.

Cons: I'd read about the plastic matress covers, and they do make a bit of noise, but it's no real problem.

Perfect beachfront get away. Private, relaxing, and easy train into Bcn.

Pros: The location was excellent and I liked the layout of the room w/terrace Great attention to cleaning - daily :-) Super hospitable and very friendly staff and owners <3

Cons: A couple of the furniture pieces could be repaired or updated.

Nice moderately priced accomodation by the sea

Pros: I wanted to book moderately priced (compared to common pricing in area) air-contioned accomodation very near the good swimming beach and I got it. Bed is ok, fridge in the room is a plus, nice balcony, good daily cleaning. Supermarket nearby. Train station 1 km, good connections north and south. Peaceful small city, I felt safe to walk around alone even late. I really enjoyed my stay. Special thanks for the owner, she brought me cake and paella on her birthday ☺️

Cons: Occasional tobacco smell in the balcony, but I suppose that is quite common here in other accomodations as well. Plastic madress cover sheet was a bit uncomfortable.

Pros: The owner is very helpful and accommodating. The beach is one minute away. Mostly Spanish tourists in July
