Great!

Pros: Super cute hotel very central and easy to reach. Loved the common area and breakfast. Rooms were great, staff was lovely and communication too. We had a late check in was super easy. Would definetly come back and recommend!

Exceptional stay and would definitely recommend.

Pros: The lovely setting, beautiful decoration and the welcoming staff. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom and a very comfortable bed.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Exceptional stay! The staff was super friendly and the place so lovely. So much attention to detail in decor and everything else. The breakfast was also very tasty and they serve free coffee/tea all day long. The location was also perfect! I can highly recommend Casa Mathilda.

Excellent location and very charming place

Pros: Location was excellent, safe and walking distance to most attractions. We also enjoyed the little courtyard, and the seating area with free biscuits 😉 Very friendly and communicative staff.

Cons: There is a bit of the noise from the aircon units or something similar in our room, so if you are extremely noise sensitive then just get yourself some “loops” as I don’t think the owner can do about it but worth taking into account. We were too tired to care after each day of sightseeing:)

Pros: The location is really great for exploring Barcelona with a lot of great Restaurants and markets nearby. Staff was super friendly. The hotel itself is cute and exactly as it is on the photos. They clean the rooms daily. The beds are comfortable and a nice size. The bathroom has good water pressure and comes with body wash and shampoo. We really enjoyed the fact that there is a common space called the living room where you can or hang out, at any given time. The hotel also provides utensils so ordering food isn't a problem! It's not that hard to find the entrance as some people claim; the door has a clear sign for the hotel, just keep your eyes peeled for number 125/127 (the numbers are next to each other). We know it looks confusing on Google Maps.

Cons: Unfortunately one of the rooms was plagued with bad smells - sewage and similar smells, no matter what. We did inform the staff about it on our second day but we understand not much could have been done, so it was really hard to enjoy the stay or sleep in that room. The floor in the bathroom was also extremely slippery - mind you, I was staying in the upgraded, accessibility friendly room #1. The pillows are sadly on the thin side which caused some discomfort but we managed to deal with it. In order to combat the bad smells we even bought a room spray and decided to not run the AC at night.

Great and loved Barcelona

Pros: Great location, loved the lift, would look at a toom with a view next time

Cons: Better lighting in the main entrance, book a room with a window in future. Great tea and coffee facilities, but no milk. Outside area could do with a bit of sprice up

Pros: The staff were extremely helpful, the overall property was well cared for and maintained. Casa Mathilda gave a homely atmosphere, where you could relax, with a tea or coffee, we did not have the buffet breakfast. The security of the building was another positive. The location was also a positive.

Central accommodation with really helpful and friendly staff

Pros: Checked in very late (3am) so they gave us the code. It was easy to find. The staff also answered all our questions. During checkout, we were slightly late but the staff were very accommodating and helpful. We were very happy with our stay.

Perfect small cosy hotel for exploring, staff could not be more helpful

Pros: Spotlessly clean, comfortable and enormous bed, powerful shower with plenty of hot water. The staff were delightful, let us leave luggage on our last day and use a bathroom to freshen up before leaving. Delicious big choice of cold breakfast items, always fresh. Great location for exploring, near the metro and tourist bus stops yet still fairly quiet.
