Clean modern apartment 30 mins from Barcelona city centre

Pros: Apartment was extremely spacious and clean, the outdoor space is a great addition as well. Extremely close to bus & trains to get into the city, parking was relatively close and easy enough to use once we found the right door:) The apartment had everything you could need and suited the 4 of us well.

Cons: The 4th bed is just a pull out from under the single bed, still comfy but assumed this would be a pull out and up bed to make a double. Apartment can be a little noisy at night on the weekends from people walking passed.

Pros: This is the best place we've ever stayed in! The rooftop chillout area with a swimming pool truly made our stay unforgettable. The design of the apartment is beautiful – it feels like every little detail was carefully thought through. There's honestly nothing we would add or change. The location is very close to a metro station, which makes it very easy to reach the city center in approx. 20 minutes. Our host was incredibly kind and attentive – she genuinely cared about whether we were comfortable and if we needed anything during our stay. We really felt taken care of, and that made the whole experience even better.

Absolutely unreal price/quality!

Pros: Really clean, perfect facilities. Big enough fridge + freezer. Walking distance from metro and close to a very good, big mercadona.

Cons: It is close to a primary school so bring earplugs for the morning if you want to sleep in.

Pros: Lovely property, only a two minute walk from the shops and you stay around the locals

Cons: A school outside the back made for abit of noise during the day.

I was adding to the problems of Barcelona

Pros: Barcelona is a massive city so this apartment is about 30 minutes on a metro to get to most tourist places. The neighbourhood itself is nice, quiet and like most suburbs in most big cities. The apartment was very well equipped and the hosts were eager to please at every juncture. I liked the rooftop swimming pool and it was a nice way to wake myself up every morning in the cold water but it isn't really a pool you could do laps in as it's very small, so if you are looking specifically for a pool for swimming, this isn't going to tick the box properly.

Cons: I realise that by being in Barcelona, I was adding to their overtourism problem but having said that, all the things I didn't like, were because of it. The accommodation is very expensive considering how far out of the main city it is, even though it is very nice. I don't think that's the host's problem though. However, most other cities in Spain's mainland would be better value. Another curious thing is the climate controls in the apartments. According to the hosts, they have to keep the temperature at a particular value. It was much too hot for us and there was no real way to change it.

Pros: Our stay was excellent, and the host was incredibly accommodating, responding promptly to all our requests. They even arranged an early check-in for us, which we truly appreciated. If we return to Barcelona, we will definitely choose this place again! Marta, thank you for everything!
